What is HospiceApps?

A family of focused software tools for the operational side of running a care agency. There are two apps today. Care Roster is a shared contact directory and on-call hub. Volunteer Ledger is a volunteer hours and reporting system. Each is a companion to your EMR, never a replacement.

Does HospiceApps store patient data?

No. Never, by design. No HospiceApps product has patient fields, visit records, or anywhere to attach a patient. Because nothing holds protected health information (PHI), no HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is required. Patient care stays in your EMR; HospiceApps handles the operational work around it.

What’s the difference between Care Roster and Volunteer Ledger?

Care Roster is a shared operational directory: every contact, vendor, facility, and key number in one searchable place, plus on-call rotations, escalation paths, and an emergency screen. Volunteer Ledger manages a volunteer program: records, hours, mileage, service areas, recognition milestones, and the rosters and reports leadership and grants require. Different jobs; use either or both.

Can I use just one app?

Yes. Care Roster and Volunteer Ledger are separate products, each with its own free trial and pricing. Use one, the other, or both. There is no requirement to adopt the whole family.

What kinds of agencies is this built for?

Care organizations of all kinds: hospice, palliative care, home health, senior care, assisted living, and similar agencies. The tools are designed around the people who run the operational side of those organizations.

Does HospiceApps replace my EMR?

No, and it isn’t meant to. Clinical documentation belongs in your EMR. HospiceApps builds focused tools for the operational work the EMR was never designed to handle.

Is there a mobile app for hospice staff?

There’s no separate app to install. Every HospiceApps product (Care Roster and Volunteer Ledger) is a web app that works in the browser on a phone, tablet, or desktop, so staff can use it on whatever device they already carry. Nothing to download, nothing for IT to manage.

What software do hospices use for volunteers and contacts?

Most hospices need two different tools here: Care Roster for shared contacts, vendors, and on-call coverage, and Volunteer Ledger for volunteer hours, mileage, and reporting. Both are HospiceApps products, and each has its own free 45-day trial.
