Who builds Hospice Apps?

Hospice Apps is built by MortonApps LLC, a California software company founded by Kyle Morton. Kyle has worked with hospice agencies in IT for over a decade, and that experience is where the apps come from.

Are the apps only for hospice?

Hospice comes first, and both apps are designed around how hospice agencies work. Care Roster also suits home health, senior care and assisted living teams, and Volunteer Ledger also runs volunteer programs outside health care.

Do the apps replace our EMR?

No. Your EMR documents patient care. Hospice Apps covers the operational work around it, like reaching the right people and running the volunteer program, and works beside whichever EMR you already use.

Do the apps store patient data?

No. Neither app has patient fields, and patient care stays in your EMR.

Is there a Hospice Apps mobile app?

There is nothing to download. Both apps are web apps that work in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, so staff can use them on the devices they already carry.

How do we try the apps?

Each app has its own free trial, started from its own site: Care Roster at careroster.org and Volunteer Ledger at volunteerledger.com/hospice. You can try one or both.
